General & Preventive Dentistry

Routine and preventive care keeps small problems from becoming big ones — checkups, cleanings, fillings, and root canal treatment. Every visit starts with a clear explanation of what's going on and what your options are.

What routine care covers

Most dental problems are cheaper, quicker and less invasive to treat early. Routine care is about catching things while they're still small — and about being able to ask what's going on in a language you actually speak.

If you're in pain now, say so when you contact us — urgent problems are handled differently from routine appointments.

Options

What we do

Checkups and 3D imaging

An examination with imaging, so decay between teeth and under old restorations is found rather than guessed at.

Scaling and gum care

Professional cleaning, and treatment of gum disease where it's present. For adults this is partly covered by NHIS once a year.

Fillings

Tooth-coloured restorations, keeping as much of your own tooth as the decay allows.

Root canal treatment

When decay or a crack reaches the nerve, the tooth is treated rather than removed — carried out here by a US-trained endodontics specialist.

Treatment process

What a visit looks like

  1. 01

    Tell us what's going on

Message or call us in English, and say whether it's routine or urgent so we can offer a suitable time.

  2. 02

    Examination and imaging

We look at everything, not only the tooth you came in about, and use imaging to see what's hidden between and under teeth.

  3. 03

    Explanation, then a decision

We show you what we found and set out the options — including doing nothing for now, when that's a reasonable choice.

  4. 04

    Treatment and estimate

Simple treatment is often done the same day. Anything larger gets a written estimate first, with NHIS coverage applied where it fits.

FAQ

Common questions about general & preventive

Can I come for a checkup without Korean health insurance?

Yes. NHIS reduces what you pay for covered treatment, but you can be seen and treated without it — you'll pay the full fee for those items. We'll tell you what a visit involves before you come.

Is scaling covered by NHIS?

For adults aged 19 and over, scaling is covered once a year under NHIS, so you pay a share. Coverage terms are set by NHIS. If you need deeper gum treatment, we'll explain what applies to your case.

Will I need a crown after root canal treatment?

Usually yes. A tooth that's had its nerve removed is more brittle and can split under normal chewing, so it's covered to protect it. We'll tell you this at the start, not after the root canal is finished.

Can I get a second opinion here?

Yes, and it's a reasonable thing to ask for. Bring any images you already have if you can. We'll examine you, show you what we see, and tell you plainly whether we'd do the same thing.

Do you treat emergencies?

Tell us what's happening when you contact us and we'll advise on how quickly you should be seen. Pain, swelling, and a knocked-out tooth are all handled differently from a routine appointment.

I would recommend this dental clinic for foreigners living in the Uijeongbu city area. The English dentist is available three days a week. The treatment is communicated well and very comfortable. Dental costs are also communicated clearly especially for those who don't have additional dental insurance.

Several of the doctors speak English. I have visited the clinic twice, and on both occasions, they did not recommend any unnecessary treatments. They also clearly explained the cost before proceeding with any treatment, without me having to ask. The reception staff are also very easy to communicate with via KakaoTalk.

I visited because I had doubts about a diagnosis from another hospital claiming that root canal treatment was absolutely necessary, and I would have regretted not coming here. I was truly grateful for the honest explanation that the examination results showed the condition wasn't that serious. They explained everything thoroughly and step-by-step, and above all, I feel confident because there was absolutely no overtreatment. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest dental clinic!
